Remittances from Egyptians working abroad continued their strong upward trajectory, reaching a record high of $37.5 billion during the first eleven months of 2025, according to the Central Bank of Egypt.
The central bank said transfers recorded between January and November 2025 rose by 42.5 percent compared to the same period in 2024, when remittances totaled approximately $26.3 billion, marking the highest level ever achieved for this period.
On a monthly basis, remittances also showed robust growth. In November 2025, inflows climbed by 39.9 percent, reaching around $3.6 billion, up from about $2.6 billion in November 2024, reflecting sustained confidence and improved foreign currency inflows.
