On the sidelines of the "9th Meeting of BRICS Ministers of Culture" held in St. Petersburg, Russia, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, the Egyptian Minister of Culture, engaged in discussions with his Russian counterpart, Olga Lyubimova, regarding strategies to enhance cultural collaboration between their nations.
The dialogue included considerations for joining the "BRICS Group," which would serve as a catalyst for advancing cultural partnerships among member countries in areas such as cinema, collaborative art exhibitions, festivals, and various cultural events, as well as fostering cultural industries and sharing expertise.
Dr. Hanno emphasized the robust ties between Egypt and Russia, particularly in the realms of culture and the arts.
He noted that Egypt's inclusion in the "BRICS" group presents new opportunities for cooperation in cultural and creative sectors, highlighting that this alliance would facilitate joint film production, the organization of international art exhibitions, and the enhancement of advanced cultural industries in Egypt.
The Minister of Culture remarked on the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the BRICS nations, asserting that cultural collaboration among them offers significant opportunities for the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
In turn, Olga Lyubimova, the Russian Minister of Culture, acknowledged Egypt as a vital cultural partner for Russia, asserting that its membership in the "BRICS Group" would bolster cultural dialogue between the two nations and foster new avenues for mutual understanding.
