The entire Egypt national team squad has tested negative for Covid-19 ahead of their quarter-finals clash against Morocco.

Egypt qualified to the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals after beating Ivory Coast in a thrilling penalty shootout.

Morocco on the other hand advanced to the quarter-finals after overcoming Malawi in the round of 16 with the result of 2-1.

The game is scheduled to take place next Sunday, 30 January at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé, with the winner playing against Cameroon or The Gambia in the semi-finals.

48 hours before the match, the EFA announced that the team will be in full strength after CAF’s regular Covid-19 tests came back negative.
