The head of Egypt’s Ashraf Syndicate, Mahmoud Al-Sharif, extended heartfelt congratulations to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, the Egyptian people, and the Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Ministry of Religious Endowments’ celebration at the Al-Manara International Conference Center in Cairo, attended by President Sisi, Al-Sharif described the Prophet’s birth as “a mercy for all humanity.” He emphasized that the coming of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) marked the dawn of a new era, leading people from darkness into light, encouraging critical thought, and sparking a golden age of scientific and cultural advancement that illuminated the world with knowledge.

Al-Sharif underlined the importance of adopting a modern reading of the Prophet’s biography and applying its lessons in daily life, particularly at a time when global challenges and turmoil demand adherence to the Prophet’s ethics and Islam’s higher objectives.

He praised President Sisi for honoring scholars and prominent figures who have significantly contributed to science and religious outreach, calling it “a true reflection of Egypt’s respect for its scholars and preachers.” Such recognition, he said, motivates them to continue their mission with dedication and sincerity.

The Ashraf Syndicate leader also thanked Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Religious Endowments, and ministry staff for their efforts in renewing religious discourse and ensuring the Prophet’s birthday celebration was conducted in a way befitting Egypt’s stature. He stressed that the event highlighted Egypt’s model of cooperation and unity between state institutions under President Sisi’s leadership.

Al-Sharif concluded by praying for Egypt’s continued security and stability, asking God to protect the nation, its leader, army, and security forces, while blessing the country with progress and prosperity. He also prayed for global peace and security.
