The Egyptian Ambassador in Tokyo Mohamed Abu Bakr met on Friday with Tarō Asō, Vice President of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party in Japan and head of the Egyptian-Japanese Parliamentary Friendship Association.
The meeting discussed aspects of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
It also addressed the Partnership in Education (EJEP), including the establishment of Japanese schools in Egypt, as well as its role in promoting academic study through the Japanese University of Science and Technology.
On his part, Asō praised the close relations between Japan and Egypt, pointing to Japan's contribution in the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) project.
