Today, Egyptians across the country are celebrating Sham El-Nessim, which marks the beginning of spring and comes just one day after Coptic Orthodox Easter.
Egyptians marks this occasion by gatherings and heading to public gardens and coastal cities for a family picnic.
They also are keen to gather, cook and eat many traditional cousins like salted fish, green onions, and herring.
On Sham El-Nessim, families are keen to color the eggs for their children.
Sham El-Nessim has been observed since 2700 BC by all Egyptians regardless of their religion, beliefs, and social status.
