Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Abroad Affairs, made a phone call on Sunday, August 4, with Sergei Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that during the call, Lavrov congratulated Abdel Atu on the occasion of the formation of the Egyptian government, expressing his aspiration to cooperate with him in everything that achieves the interests of the two countries.
For his part, Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty affirmed the Arab Republic of Egypt’s pride in its relations with the Russian Federation and its aspiration to continue efforts to strengthen cooperation relations in a way that achieves the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
They also discussed the current regional developments and efforts to reduce escalation in the region, in a way that preserves its security, stability, and the interests of its people.
