Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar held a phone call on Wednesday.
The call was part of the ongoing coordination between the two brotherly nations to follow up on their dedicated and sincere efforts to stabilize the ceasefire, return to the January 19 agreement, and ensure the implementation of its three phases.
These efforts aim to secure the release of hostages and prisoners and facilitate the entry of humanitarian, medical, and shelter aid into Gaza.
The ministers also reaffirmed their continued joint coordination with the United States regarding mediation efforts.
Additionally, Abdelatty and his Qatari counterpart exchanged views on creating conditions for the reconstruction of Gaza and ensuring the success of the Cairo Conference for Early Recovery and Reconstruction, with a focus on preserving Palestinian presence on their land.
Both ministers agreed on the importance of continued joint coordination between Egypt and Qatar to de-escalate tensions in the region and prevent further instability.
They emphasized the need for collective efforts to achieve a political settlement that would establish lasting stability by securing a Palestinian state as the ultimate resolution to the conflict.
