Egypt's Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, reaffirmed Egypt’s strong commitment to deepening its strategic relationship with China during a high-level meeting at the government headquarters in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital.
The meeting was held with Li Yunze, Chairman of China's National Financial Regulatory Administration, and Liao Liqiang, China’s Ambassador to Egypt, alongside a delegation of Chinese officials representing the National Financial Regulatory Administration, the Communist Party of China, and the Chinese Embassy in Cairo.
The meeting was attended by prominent officials including Ahmed Kouchouk, Deputy Minister of Finance, Mohamed Farid, Chairman of Egypt's Financial Regulatory Authority, Yasser Sobhi, Deputy Finance Minister, Ahmed Shahin, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs, and Mai Adel, Advisor to the Minister of Finance for Capital Markets.
Prime Minister Madbouly began the discussions by welcoming the Chinese delegation and expressing Egypt’s gratitude for the strong and developing partnership between Cairo and Beijing. This meeting follows Madbouly’s own visit to China just a month earlier, where he represented President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing. During that trip, Madbouly met with senior Chinese officials to discuss enhancing bilateral relations in line with the directives of both nations' leaders.
Madbouly emphasized that these high-level exchanges of visits between Egyptian and Chinese officials underscore the depth of the strategic partnership between the two countries. He noted that such visits contribute to the continued development of relations across various sectors, benefiting the peoples of both nations.
The Prime Minister also extended his congratulations to the Chinese government and people on the occasion of China’s National Day, marking 75 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. This milestone, he noted, coincides with Egypt’s own commemoration of the 51st anniversary of the historic October War victory.
Madbouly further highlighted the state visit of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to China in May, during which El-Sisi was honored as a guest of honor at the opening session of the 10th Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum.
This visit resulted in numerous agreements between President El-Sisi and President Xi Jinping, focusing on cooperative projects and initiatives that would further elevate the relations between the two nations and yield significant mutual benefits.
