CAIRO, Dec. 29 (SEE) - Egyptian Armed security personnel quickly and strongly responded to the terrorist attack which targeted a bus loaded with Vietnamese holidaymakers at Giza, striking several locations that hosted militants.
An official statement of the ministry of interior announced that upon information, a series of raids and security operations were carried out in parallel in Giza and Northern Sinai governorates, against places believed to have hosted militants responsible for the attack.
The statement added that the raids also were mounted against militants who were planning as well to target state institutions, especially economic and tourism ones, armed forces locations, police and churches during the upcoming Christmas holiday.
“40 terrorists in the raided locations were killed, and large quantity of weapons and explosives were found and confiscated” the statement said.
