The foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq emphasized the necessity of halting Israel's aggression in Gaza as a prerequisite for ending the ongoing violence in the region.

In a joint statement released on September 25, 2024, following their meeting in New York during the high-level General Debate of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 79), the ministers addressed the alarming escalation in the area. They called upon the international community and the UN Security Council to fulfill their responsibilities in order to cease the conflict.

The ministers attributed full responsibility for the worsening situation and its severe consequences for the entire region to Israel, as stated in their declaration.

Additionally, the statement condemned Israel's actions in Lebanon, asserting that Israel is attempting to involve the entire region in a comprehensive war.
