A phone call took place on Wednesday, April 30, between Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, and his Greek counterpart, Georgios Gerapetritis.
This came as part of ongoing efforts to advance bilateral relations between the two friendly nations.
During the phone call, Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s keenness to continue strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation with Greece across political, economic, and commercial fields, building on their historic ties.
He also praised Greece’s supportive positions toward Egypt in various international forums and within the European Union.
Furthermore, Abdelatty emphasized Egypt’s aspiration to deepen coordination with Greece during its current non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council for the years 2025–2026, in support of regional stability and international peace and security.
