A phone call took place, on Wednesday, between Egypt's Foreign Minister (FM) Badr Abdelatty, and his French counterpart Jean-Noël Barrot to discuss latest developments in Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Libya.

Both ministers exchanged views regarding developments in Gaza Strip.

In this regard, FM stressed the importance of implementing the latest Security Council resolution regarding Gaza, and the necessity of enabling the international stabilization force to carry out the tasks assigned to it by the Council, adding that this would support the consolidation of the ceasefire and provide security for the Palestinian people within the Strip.

He also briefed his French counterpart on the efforts exerted by Egypt to ensure the stabilization and full implementation of the Sharm El Sheikh Peace Agreement.

The call also addressed the situation in Lebanon, where Abdelatty affirmed Egypt's firm stance rejecting any infringement on Lebanon's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.

Moreover, he reiterated support for national institutions to fully carry out their responsibilities in maintaining the country's stability and preserving its security.

Regarding the situation in Libya, Abdelatty briefed his French counterpart on the efforts Egypt is undertaking to support Libyan national endeavors within the framework of the principle of exclusive Libyan ownership of the political settlement.

Furthermore, he stressed the importance of supporting all efforts aimed at forming a unified government that works to create the appropriate conditions for holding simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible.

Moreover, he emphasized the need for the withdrawal of all foreign forces, foreign fighters, and mercenaries from Libyan territory without exception or delay, in commitment to the relevant Security Council resolutions, thereby contributing to the restoration of Libya's full sovereignty and the preservation of its security, stability, and territorial integrity.
