Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, Badr Abdelatty, held telephone conversations on Sunday with Badr Al-Busaidi, Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of Iran, and Steve Witkoff, Special Envoy of the U.S. President for the Middle East.
Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Minister Abdelatty discussed the latest regional developments during his calls, with a particular focus on the third round of negotiations between the United States and Iran concerning the Iranian nuclear file, held yesterday in Muscat, Oman. Minister Abdelatty was briefed on the latest updates regarding the ongoing discussions between the two sides.
The Foreign Minister reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for all initiatives aimed at achieving political solutions through dialogue and negotiation, emphasizing that such efforts are crucial to enhancing prospects for regional security and stability. He expressed hope that the negotiations would lead to a balanced political settlement that contributes to de-escalation, reduces tensions, and paves the way for a new phase of regional stability.
