Egyptian Companies Sign Export Contracts worth €30 Mln during Fruit Logistica Exhibition

Minister of Trade Plenipotentiary and Head of Commercial Representation office Yehia El-Wathiq Billah  announced that the efforts of the Egyptian Commercial Office in Berlin contributed to signing export contracts worth €30 million.

This came during the participation of the Egyptian companies in the 29th edition of the Fruit Logistica Exhibition in the German capital Berlin, during the period from 5-7 April 2022.

Up to 23 Egyptian companies, especially ones producing agricultural crops, participated in the exhibition;  including 12 companies that participated through the Egyptian pavilion, which was built on an area of ​​221 square meters, while 11 companies participated inpidually.

On his part, Abdulaziz El-Sherif, head of the Egyptian Commercial Office in Berlin, indicated that the Fruit Logistica exhibition has been held annually since 1993 and is considered the most important exhibition ever in the field of agricultural crops, not only at the level of the German market, but at the global level.

The exhibition includes products of fresh vegetables and fruits, dried fruits and nuts, packaging technology, transportation and logistics, warehousing, farming systems, and the latest technologies in the agricultural and greenhouse fields.

The exhibition witnessed strong participation from 2,000 exhibiting companies from about 87 countries, and more than 40,000 visitors from all over the world.
