Ambassador: Egyptian-Chinese Relations Developed During Sisi Era

Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang said that the Egyptian-Chinese relations witnessed great development during the era of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Liqiang added that his country is happy with the arrival of the first shipment of the Chinese vaccine for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) coming from the UAE to the Egyptian people.

During a press conference to announce receiving the first batch of the Chinese Coronavirus vaccine Sinopharm, Egypt`s Minister of Health Hala Zayed thanked the people of the UAE and China. She pointed out that the Coronavirus crisis had great positive points, the most important of which was the cooperation and solidarity between peoples, especially the Egyptian, Chinese and Emirati peoples.

Zayed went on saying: "These vaccines are safe, and we conducted clinical trials on them and I was one of the volunteers." She noted that the vaccine has proven success in clinical trials and obtained emergency approval.

The minister stated that a contract was signed on December 4 with the International Alliance for more vaccines. She thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for his interest in the health file, and this made Egypt the first African country to conduct clinical research and obtain the Coronavaccine.
