Egypt welcomed the decision by the Slovenian government and parliament to officially recognize the State of Palestine.
In a post on 'X' plateform, Foreign Ministry official spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid described the recognition of the State of Palestine as an important and commendable step to support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in establishing their independent state and to strengthen international efforts aimed at implementing the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
