Egypt welcomed on Sunday a political deal signed between Sudan’s military and Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Arab Republic of Egypt welcomed the signing of the political deal between Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and prime minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk, Prime Minister.
In this context, Egypt praised - according to the statement of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry - the wisdom and responsibility shown by the Sudanese parties in reaching a consensus on the success of the transitional period in a way that serves Sudan's supreme interests.
Egypt also expressed its hope that the deal will represent a step towards achieving sustainable stability in Sudan, and opening up prospects for development and prosperity for the brotherly Sudanese people.
