The spokesperson of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Hafez welcomed Friday the ceasefire agreement between the Libyan parties during the ongoing Geneva talks.
"This agreement marks the success of the first meeting hosted by Egypt last September," Hafez pointed.
He added that the agreement created a sense of stability between the warring parties and prevented any escalations.
Hafez also called on the involved parties in the Libyan crisis to contribute to guaranteeing the status of stability and securing the agreement.
Finally, he expressed Cairo's determination of continuing its efforts to support the political methods for solving the Libyan crisis, achieving peace and preserving libyan territorial integrity referring to the necessity of withdrawing any foreign troops in Libya.
