Egypt warned of the dangers of opening a new war front in Lebanon, in light of the recent incidents witnessed by the village of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan, which could lead to sliding into a comprehensive regional war.
Egypt stresses the importance of supporting Lebanon, its people and institutions, and sparing it the scourge of war. It also calls on influential forces in the international community to intervene immediately to spare the peoples of the region from further disastrous consequences of the expanding conflict, which may constitute a threat to international peace and security.
Egypt also renews its warning of the dangers of Israeli war against the Gaza Strip, calling for reaching an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire that will end the human suffering in the Gaza Strip as soon as possible, and enable the international community to contain the negative repercussions of the crisis.
