Egypt, US Discuss Ways to Strengthen Strategic Partnership

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a telephone conversation on Tuesday with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The call focused on advancing the strategic partnership between Egypt and the United States and reviewing the latest developments across the region.

Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said Minister Abdelatty conveyed President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s greetings and appreciation to President Donald Trump, reaffirming Egypt’s high regard for the long-standing and comprehensive strategic relationship between the two countries. He emphasized Egypt’s commitment to maintaining close coordination with the U.S. administration in support of regional security and stability during this critical period.

The discussion also addressed the importance of expanding economic, trade, and investment cooperation. Minister Abdelatty underscored Egypt’s interest in attracting additional American investments to the Egyptian market, building on the solid foundation of shared interests that define the bilateral partnership.
