A phone call was held between Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Egyptian Expatriates, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.
The conversation took place within the framework of regular consultation and continuous coordination between the two brotherly nations on issues of mutual concern.
The call addressed the deep-rooted bilateral relations between the two countries. Both ministers praised the strength of the fraternal ties between their leaderships and peoples, agreeing on the importance of continuing joint efforts to enhance partnership frameworks across various fields.
They emphasized building on the current momentum to advance relations in a way that serves the interests of both nations.
Regarding the developments in the Gaza Strip, the two ministers stressed the necessity of accelerating the implementation of the second phase requirements of the U.S. President’s plan and providing full support to the National Committee for Gaza Management.
Furthermore, they emphasized the importance of deploying an International Stability Force to ensure commitment to the ceasefire; a vital step toward paving the way for early recovery and reconstruction efforts.
They also underscored the need for the continuous flow of humanitarian aid to all areas of the Strip.
On the Sudanese crisis, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s firm position supporting Sudan’s unity, territorial integrity, and the cohesion of its national institutions.
He stressed the need for concerted efforts to improve the humanitarian situation and support de-escalation endeavors.
Both ministers agreed to maintain close coordination to face growing challenges and safeguard regional stability.
On the broader regional front, the ministers exchanged views on ways to reduce escalation in the region, asserting that diplomatic solutions are the only way to spare the region from the risks of sliding into further instability.
