Representatives of participating delegations began arriving for the first meeting of the “World Peace Council,” formed by U.S. President Donald Trump as an international platform aimed at developing sustainable solutions to regional and international conflicts, including the Palestinian issue.

Among the prominent figures attending are the President of the World Bank, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Ali Shath, head of the National Committee for Gaza Administration, and Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli is scheduled to take part in the meeting on behalf of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, accompanied by Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.

Egypt’s participation comes in response to an invitation from the U.S. administration and within the framework of its role in supporting regional stability and efforts toward comprehensive and just peace. The participation also reflects Egypt’s position rejecting the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and calling for a political settlement that safeguards Palestinian rights and supports security and stability in the region.
