Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, announced that there have been serious and enriching discussions regarding the draft law on granting the commitment to establish, manage, operate, and develop health facilities to ensure it is implemented in the best possible way.

During his interview on the program "In the Evening with Qaswaa," presented by journalist Qaswaa Al-Khalali and broadcast on CBC, he noted that it is not necessary for the health insurance service provider to be solely governmental. Health insurance involves both government and private entities, as well as charitable organizations, to provide services without imposing new burdens on citizens. This approach is practiced globally.

He mentioned that there are plans to soon contract with a foreign system, one of the most prestigious cancer treatment institutions in France, in cooperation and partnership with the Ministry of Health, to provide equal healthcare for all citizens. This initiative inspired the draft law.

The Minister emphasized that the primary beneficiaries of this law are ordinary Egyptian citizens, through the expansion of family coverage. He highlighted that there will be scientific training for health system workers to create a skilled Egyptian workforce.
