The Official Gazette announced the implementation of daylight saving time in Egypt starting next Thursday, April 24.
The decision added that the implementation falls within the framework of the daylight saving time system.
The clocks will be set forward 60 minutes starting at midnight on Thursday, April 24, so that the official time will be 1:00 AM on Friday, April 25, instead of 12:00 PM.
He added that the amendment comes in light of the law's provisions regarding the daylight saving time system, which aims to achieve optimal energy use and organize time in line with international regulations.
Most smart devices will automatically update, but it is recommended to manually adjust the time on devices that do not automatically update.
