Egypt Supports South Sudan to Restore Peace

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said Egypt supports South Sudan to restore peace there. This came during a meeting with South Sudanese and Egyptian officials.

The meeting included South Sudanese presidential advisor Tut Gatluak along with Egyptian presidential spokesman Bassam Rady.

According to Rady, El-Sisi said Egypt will offer technical support to South Sudan to allow the South Sudanese people to have greater future.

Head of UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) David Shearer stressed the importance of protecting civilians there due to violence.

A UN report urged the government and opposition in South Sudan to solve any current problems.
