The Foreign Ministers (FMs) of Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have expressed their strong condemnation of the repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire in Gaza, which have resulted in the death and injury of over a thousand Palestinians.
The ministers emphasized that these actions represent a dangerous escalation that threatens to fuel tensions and undermine efforts aimed at solidifying the truce and establishing stability. This comes at a critical time when regional and international efforts are converging to advance the second phase of the peace plan proposed by President Donald Trump and to implement UN Security Council Resolution 2803.
Moreover, the ministers stressed that the recurrence of these violations poses a direct threat to the political track, potentially obstructing ongoing efforts to create conditions conducive to transitioning toward a more stable phase in the Gaza Strip on both security and humanitarian levels.
They also underscored the necessity of full commitment to ensure the success of the second phase of the peace plan.
Furthermore, the ministers called upon all parties to fully fulfill their responsibilities during this delicate stage and to exercise maximum restraint to preserve and sustain the ceasefire.
They urged the avoidance of any actions or practices that could undermine current efforts, emphasizing the need to create favorable conditions for moving forward with early recovery and reconstruction.
Moreover, the ministers reaffirmed the importance of reaching a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace, based on the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state in accordance with international law, relevant UN Security Council resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.
