Egypt's Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed revealed that Egypt is looking forward to fostering medical cooperation with China's Sinovac biopharmaceutical firm in the fields of coronavirus vaccine production and pharmaceutical technology transfer.
They ultimately agreed to manufacture the Chinese company’s coronavirus vaccine in Egypt after the Ministry of Health had called on China for assistance with vaccine manufacturing technology transfer, according to recent reports.
This came following Zayed's meeting with Sinovac representatives early Thursday in order to activate their partnership. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the health and pharmaceutical sectors, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Health.
Egypt is hoping broadscale vaccination will put an end to the awful pandemic. Consequently, Egypt must collaborate with various pharma companies to make tech transfer an industrialized, at-scale process—before the time is up.
