Egypt on Sunday dispatched its 118th humanitarian aid convoy to the Gaza Strip, continuing efforts to deliver emergency relief to Palestinian civilians amid ongoing humanitarian challenges.

The convoy, comprising dozens of trucks, departed from the Egyptian side of the Rafah border crossing en route to the Karam Abu Salem crossing. It is carrying essential supplies, including food items, medical aid, medicines, blankets, winter clothing, tents and other relief materials.

The shipment is part of the “Zad Al-Izza: From Egypt to Gaza” initiative, which was launched to provide sustained humanitarian support to Gaza. The operation is coordinated by the Egyptian Red Crescent in cooperation with relevant authorities and humanitarian partners.

Since its launch in July, the initiative has facilitated the delivery of thousands of tons of aid through successive convoys, reflecting Egypt’s role as a key conduit for humanitarian assistance to the enclave.

Egyptian officials have reiterated their commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and ensuring the continued flow of relief supplies through the Rafah crossing, despite ongoing political and security complexities in the region.
