The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts that the country will witness a decline in temperature and unstable weather conditions on Sunday.

Moderately cold weather is also foreseen to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, the Northeastern Coasts, and North Upper Egypt, during the daylight hours.

Medium to heavy rain, sometimes thunderstorms accompanied by hail, is also predicted to hit the North Coast as well as the North Delta – particularly in the cities of El Salloum, Marsa Matruh, Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh, and Damietta.

Moderate rain is also expected to prevail in the North Coast and the North delta.

Furthermore, dusty winds will occur in Cairo, Lower Egypt, North Coast, the Canal cities, and North Upper Egypt, causing a lack of horizontal visibility, storms in some areas, and increasing the sensitivity to cold.

There will also be a disruption of maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea with wind speed reaching 60 to 70 km/hr and wave height ranging from 2 to 4 meters.

Meanwhile, extremely cold weather is foreseen to prevail across the country at nighttime. Snow is also expected to fall at the heights of Central Sinai.

Light to medium rain, sometimes thunderstorms, will prevail intermittently in Cairo, the Canal cities, Menoufia, Sharqia, and Dakahlia, as well as the south of the western Delta.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 17°C in Cairo, 16°C in Alexandria, 15°C in Marsa Matruh, 18°C in Sohag, 18°C in Qena, and 19°C in Aswan.
