Today... Egypt Sees Heavy Rains, Drop in Temperatures

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicted that the country will see a 7-degree Celsius drop in the temperature, moderate weather, and more rain, on Thursday.

Moderate weather is foreseen to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, Eastern Coasts, and North Upper Egypt, during daylight hours.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere will be warm in South Sinai, and South Upper Egypt. It is also foreseen that cold weather will prevail in the Northwest Coast.

Furthermore, Mahmoud Shaheen, Director of the Weather Forecast Department at EMA, said that the country will be witnessing moderate to heavy rains in Cairo, Giza, and Qalyubia.

Moderate heavy rains, sometimes thunderstorms, will hit the Northern Coasts, Lower Egypt, canal cities, and the south of the country.

Meanwhile, moderate to thunderstorm rain, with potential flash flooding, will prevail in the Red Sea mountain ranges, Sinai, and the Gulf of Suez region.

It is also predicted that extremely cold weather will prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, North Coast, and South Sinai, at night.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere will be extremely cold in the North and South of Upper Egypt.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 19C in Cairo, 18C in Alexandria, 18C in Marsa Matruh, 21C in Sohag, 22C in Qena, and 23C in Aswan.
