The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts cold weather to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and North Coast, during daylight hours on Tuesday.
Moderately warm weather is also predicted to hit the South Sinai and South of the country.
It is also foreseen that Egypt will experience a slight drop in temperature in most parts and rain of varying intensity hitting various areas from the North of the country to Cairo.
Furthermore, moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail sometimes, will prevail in Marsa Matruh - Alexandria - Beheira - Kafr El-Sheikh - Dakahlia.
Wind will occur occasionally in Cairo, Lower Egypt, North Coast, and South Sinai —making the air “feel” colder.
There will also be a disruption of maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea with wind speed reaching 50 to 60 km/hr and wave height ranging from 2.5 to 4 meters.
The Mediterranean Sea will experience extremely turbulent waves, ranging between 2.5 and 4 meters with northwest surface winds. Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent, ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 meters with northwest surface winds.
Moreover, most parts of the country will experience extremely cold weather at nighttime. Forst is also witnessed in Central Sinai, North Upper Egypt, and New Valley Governorate.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 16°C in Cairo, 15°C in Alexandria, 14°C in Marsa Matruh, 17°C in Sohag, 18°C in Qena, and 20°C in Aswan.
