Egypt, Russia Carry Out 'Friendship Bridge-3' Drills

Egyptian and Russian naval troops carried out on Thursday a mutual military exercise "Friendship Bridge-3". The maritime drills are taking place in the Russia's territorial  waters.

The maritime drills are part of Egypt's Armed Forces' plans to strengthen the military cooperation between Egypt and  friendly countries.

The Egyptian Military vessels reached the Russian Novorossiysk port. Prestigious welcoming celebration was presented by the Russian authorities.

Furthermore, the celebration included a speech by the Director of the Egyptian units participating in the drills General Ahmed Khaled. He greeted the participating units in the exercises including the Russian ones.

He also praised the experience of the Russian Maritime troops and their skills that make them one of the strongest maritime forces in the world.

Also, he hailed the Russian side for hosting this round of exercises which widen the horizons of exchanging experiences between both states.

Furthermore, the celebration included laying a wreath on the memorial of the Second World War Novorossiysk second world war martyrs.

Regarding the activities of the exercises, they were initiated by holding a number of coordinating conferences to boost the military cooperation between both states' forces.

The mutual exercises represent a precious chance to enhance the experiences of the maritime forces of both states through widening their military horizons and training using the latest updated maritime technologies.
