On Sunday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 912 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 392,857.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 21,964 nationwide after the ministry announced 26 deaths.
About 879 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 327,144.
Egypt’s daily coronavirus report includes infections related to COVID-19 virus, and its new variants (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Omicron), Health Ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar revealed.
In press remarks, Abdel Ghaffar added that Coronavirus and its mutants respond to therapeutic protocols, as well as internationally-approved vaccines around the world.
