The head of the Red Crescent in North Sinai, Dr. Khaled Zayed, has announced that Egypt has received a second group of patients from Gaza.
To provide more aid, the number of trucks entering Gaza through the Rafah crossing has been increased from 20 to 100.
Speaking to Sarah Hazem Taha, anchor of the “Kol Zwaia” program broadcast on the Egyptian television channel “ON”, Dr. Zayed mentioned that 277 trucks have entered the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing so far.
He added that the Egyptian Red Crescent is providing everything necessary to the wounded Palestinians who entered Egypt to receive health care.
Earlier, WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said: “We have been working with Egypt’s Health Ministry on planning for medical evacuations and will continue to support.”
He noted that 81 people had managed to cross into Egypt for treatment.
