Egypt received the 1st shipment of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at Cairo airport, on Sunday, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Higher Education, and Acting Health Minister announced.
The shipment comprises 784,280 doses.
In a press statement, Abdel Ghaffar stressed that Egypt succeeded in providing all types of anti-Coronavirus vaccines, in accordance with directives of the political leadership.
It is worth mentioning, Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population reported 948 new coronavirus cases, 57 deaths, and 390 recoveries on Saturday.
A total of 330,084 cases have been reported in Egypt, alongside 18,592 deaths and 277623 recoveries.
