Egypt and Qatar foreign ministries held the first political consultation committee meeting, earlier today, Sunday, in Cairo.
Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs Alaa Moussa chaired the Egyptian side, while, Assistant Foreign Minister for Regional Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi chaired the Qatari side during the meeting.
The latest Arab and international developments as well as several issues of common interest, particularly the Palestinian cause, were discussed during the meeting.
Moreover, the two sides underlined the need to boost joint efforts to achieve prosperity and development to overcome the challenges facing the Arab region.
