Egypt Post Disburses Dues for 260,000 Refugees of 58 Nationalities

Egypt Post disbursed dues to 260,000 refugees of 58 nationalities in coordination with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR ), according to Sherif Farouk, Chairperson of Egypt Post.

Farouk added that the Egyptian Post has played a pioneering role in disbursing refugees' transactions in Egypt since 2014 through a wide geographical spread of post offices throughout the republic by using the latest technological means.

This came during his meeting with Karim Atassi, UNHCR Representative to Egypt and League of Arab States.

He pointed out that the Egyptian Post is keen to open horizons of cooperation with all institutions and entities to enable the development of postal services and the provision of new services to postal customers.

On his part Atassi emphasized the pioneering and successful role of the Egyptian Postal Service in disbursing aid to refugees using the latest technology, relying on the latest biometric systems to ensure accurate disbursing in a high quality and in a timely manner.

He also praised the development of the Egyptian Post in the infrastructure and technology, the development of post offices and their transformation from the traditional form to offices that provide all services of transactions.
