Egypt-Oman Trade Exchange Value Increases by 64.6% in 2022

Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics revealed an increase in the trade exchange value between Egypt and Oman, reaching $1.1 billion in 2022 compared to $650.8 million in 2021, with an increase of 64.6%.

The value of Egyptian exports to Oman reached $202.1 million in 2022 compared to $163.3 million in 2021, with an increase of 23.7%. Meanwhile, the value of Egyptian imports from Oman reached $869.3 million in 2022 compared to $487.5 million in 2021, with an increase of 78.3%.

Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq is visiting Cairo tomorrow, Sunday, at the head of a high-level delegation, marking his first visit since taking office in January 2020.

Earlier, the Omani Royal Court issued a statement about this historic visit, at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The statement hinted at the depth of the fraternal and historical relations between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman, indicating that Sultan Haitham's visit confirms the keenness of the leaderships of the two countries to strengthen these strong links between them.

The Royal Court statement confirmed that the visit's activities include consultation and coordination between the two leaderships towards enhancing joint Arab work, discussing various regional andinternational developments, and exploring all aspects of cooperation that would elevate bilateral relations to levels that serve the common interests of both countries.
