In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt expressed its sincere condolences to South Africa over the floods in the KwaZulu-Natal region, which left dozens of people killed and injured and caused the destruction of facilities, homes, and infrastructure.
“The government and people of Egypt also offer sincere condolences to the government and people of the Republic of South Africa and to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to all the injured ones,” the statement said.
It added that Egypt supports South Africa in this painful affliction.
