Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), in collaboration with the National Trade Development Agency, announced the launch of an electronic system for issuing “No Conflict” certificates and reserving commercial names via the Egypt Digital Portal (https://digital.gov.eg), effective February 8, 2026.
The initiative aligns with the country’s Vision 2030 goals for administrative reform and modernization of government services.
The new system allows investors and entrepreneurs to reserve a commercial name and obtain a certificate of no conflict entirely online, eliminating the need for paper-based submissions or in-person visits to government offices. Officials said the move will simplify procedures, save time and effort, accelerate company registration, and facilitate business operations across the country.
The digital process involves a few straightforward steps: users create an account on the portal, access their personal dashboard, navigate to the “Egypt Digital” services section, select commercial registry services, choose the name reservation (“No Conflict Certificate”) option, and complete the application electronically.
GAFI also announced that investors can now attach the electronic “No Conflict Certificate” code directly in the automated company registration system, replacing the need for physical documents. This integration is expected to streamline company formation and support Egypt’s ongoing digital transformation agenda.
“The launch of the digital No Conflict system demonstrates the government’s commitment to improving the investment climate and promoting transparency,” said a GAFI spokesperson. “Providing integrated digital services in line with international best practices strengthens the confidence of both local and foreign investors in Egypt’s business environment.”
