On Monday, Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production, Mohamed Ahmed Morsy, met with India’s Ambassador to Cairo Ajit Gupte, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields of industrialization and economic sectors.
During the meeting, Morsy pointed out that the two countries have close relations, and he hopes to benefit from the Indian expertise in many fields.
Morsy expressed the Ministry’s keenness on cooperating with various international companies in the field of transferring and localizing modern technologies in Egypt, in line with the county's industrial strategy.
“A coherent strategy should be adapted for enhancing the two sides' cooperation in various fields of business and commerce,” he said.
In this regard, Egypt has decided to invite Indian companies to participate in the EDEX 2021 exhibition, which will be held in Egypt in November 2021.
On the other hand, Ajit Gupte underscored the mutual understanding between the two countries on the need to advance bilateral relations in industry and economics.
The Ambassador also indicated that Egypt is a promising market with goepolitical and goecomonic importance and discussed how to make Indian companies be more familiar with Egyptian markets so that they can make use of Egypt as a regional hub of their business.
