Egypt international and Zamalek goalkeeper, Mohamed Abou-Gabal, revealed whether or not he’ll be available to face Cameroon.
Egypt handed Morocco their first defeat since October 2019, to knock them out of the 2021 Africa Cup Nations, in the quarterfinals.
Second choice goalkeeper, Mohamed Abou-Gabal, had to step up and stand in goal for Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawy, who suffers from a hamstring strain.
“It was a difficult match, but we prepared well for it. We respected the Moroccan team and studied them well. It’s a distinguished team and has the best African players in its ranks,” Abou-Gaball told Moroccan news outlet Elbotola.
“I only have a minor muscle cramp and I’m on my way to playing, god willing, in the semi-finals next Thursday against the Cameroon.
“There were no intense fights, it was all is part of the game. Us Egyptians, really love Moroccans. The relationship between the two people is strong and at the end of the day we are brothers.
