Egypt Delivers 800,000 Tons of Humanitarian Aid to Gaza, Solidarity Minister Says

Egypt has delivered approximately 800,000 tons of humanitarian and relief assistance to the Gaza Strip, according to Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy, underscoring Cairo’s central role in supporting Palestinians amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The announcement came during a meeting between Minister Morsy and Kate Forbes, President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, held at the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s headquarters in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital. The meeting was attended by Amal Imam, Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent.

Discussions focused on the Egyptian Red Crescent’s sustained humanitarian response in Gaza since the outbreak of the crisis. Forbes expressed appreciation for Egypt’s efforts, praising the pivotal role played by the Egyptian Red Crescent in coordinating and delivering aid to Palestinians under extremely challenging conditions.
