Minister of Culture: It is a symbolic message to express sympathy with the people of Lebanon, conveying the Egyptian message for peace.
In solidarity with the Lebanese in the recent Beirut port explosion, the Ministry of Culture will broadcast a concert entitled “Lebanon Rises” at 10 pm on Wednesday 12 August on the Ministry’s YouTube channel.
The operetta is composed by musician Naseer Shamma, organized by the Egyptian Opera House, performed by Abdel Halim Nouira Ensemble for Arabic Music; It will be led by Maestro Salah Ghobashy.
This festivity is held with the participation of a group of stars from Egypt and Arab world including:- Mohamed El-Helou, Khaled Selim, Majd Al-Qassem, Asma Lamnawar, Wissam Hamdy, Adel Mahmoud, Hussein Qureshi and Nasreen.
Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, affirmed that broadcasting this festivity comes as a symbolic message to express sympathy with the people of Lebanon and to convey the Egyptians demands for peace in the Middle East.
Abdel Dayem added that providing support to the people of Lebanon- the thing that various countries of the world rushed to do - is one of the humanitarian actions that help the brothers to overcome their ordeal, offering condolences to the families of the victims of this tragic accident, wishing the injured fast recovery.
