Egypt has condemned the storming of Al Aqsa Mosque early Thursday by Israeli government officials and hundreds of extremists and banning worshippers from their right of accessing the place and praying.
In a statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the consecutive storming of Al Aqsa Mosque and attempts to divide it will not change its legal and historical status as an Islamic worshipping place.
Egypt has called on Israeli to immediately halt these provocative and escalating actions that would ignite the situation in the occupied territories.
It also warned of the dangerous consequences of such irresponsible practices on security and stability in the region.
