Egypt, China Mark 45 Years of Military Aviation Partnership

 The Egyptian Air Force and China's CATIC company marked 45 years of joint military cooperation in a ceremony held at the historic Citadel of Salah El-Din. The event commemorated the arrival of the first fighter jets produced by CATIC into the Egyptian Air Force fleet and underscored the depth of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The ceremony included a guided tour of the military museum at the Citadel, highlighting Egypt’s military history. In a speech, Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Fouad Abdel-Gawad conveyed greetings from the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff and emphasized the longstanding ties between the Egyptian and Chinese air forces.

He expressed optimism for expanding future collaboration to enhance combat readiness and keep pace with technological advancements in aviation.

CATIC’s CEO praised the event and reaffirmed the company's commitment to supporting Egypt's defense capabilities through advanced technology and expert training. The Chinese ambassador also reiterated his country’s interest in strengthening ties with Egypt based on the longstanding strategic partnership between the two nations.
