Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, met Liao Liqiang, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Cairo, in the presence of the working teams of the Chinese Embassy and the Ministry of International Cooperation.
This meeting came within the framework of the periodic meetings the minister holds with multilateral and bilateral development partners to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and development projects.
The minister met with the Chinese ambassador days ahead of the Arab-Chinese Summit to be held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on December 8.
She reviewed the projects of the national platform for green projects, the “NO FEE” program in the water, food, and energy sectors, which come in light of the national strategy for climate change 2050 to stimulate climate action and green transformation.
She pointed out that the platform aims to mobilize concessional development financing mechanisms, development grants, and facilities. private sector investment.
In a related context, Al-Mashat stressed that the Egyptian state is keen to strongly involve the private sector and that it is open to cooperation with the Chinese private sector to localize industry, transfer, and exchange modern technologies, and expand the scope of cooperation to include all fields and increase green investments.
