BERLIN, March 8 (SEE) - The Tourism Ministry signed on Thursday a cooperation protocol with Beautiful Destinations on promoting tourism to Egypt on the sidelines of ITB Berlin.
The protocol was signed by Head of the Egyptian Tourism Authority Ahmed Youssef and CEO and Founder or Beautiful Destinations Jeremy Jauncey in the presence of Tourism Minister Rania Al Mashat.
The protocol includes filming more than 40 promotional contents about the tourist attractions in Egypt, according to a statement released by the ministry.
Mashat stressed the importance of modernizing the tourism promotion and marketing mechanisms as it is an important axis in the ministry's reform program.
She pointed out that the traditional approaches for promoting tourism became ineffective and useless, noting that social media platforms greatly influence on the young vacationers.
Jauncey, on his part, expressed his happiness for cooperating with the Egyptian ministry, saying that the tourists' interest had changed and his company is very experienced in creating trademarks for tourist destinations in the US, Abu Dhabi, Philippines, and Jamaica.
"Beautiful Destinations is committed to showing Egypt in a modern way and implementing concepts of sustainable tourism, a matter comes in line with the ministry's vision," Jauncey stated.
In the same context, Egypt's prominent businessman Mohamed Aboul El Enein met with Jauncey on the fringe of ITB Berlin, as they had talks.
The company is one of the world’s largest tourism community on social media, as over 20 million people in 180 countries turn to its pages on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, and Weibo to be inspired by travel and tourism.
