Egypt Beat Morocco to Qualify to Main Round of World Handball Championship

The Egyptian national handball team continued its victories in the World Championship currently held in Poland and Sweden, by defeating the Moroccan national team with a score of 30-19, in the match that brought them together this on Sunday, within the second round of Group G of the competition to ensure that the Pharaohs reached the second round.

The Egyptian national team imposed its control over the course of the match completely, and succeeded in ending the first half in its favor with a score of 13-9, then the Pharaohs continued to prevail in the second half, widening the difference to 11 goals, and ending the confrontation with a victory of 30-19.

After the match, Abdul Rahman Hamid, the goalkeeper of the Egyptian national team and Al-Ahly team, won the best player award in today's match.

The Egyptian national team had started the championship by defeating the Croatian national team in the first round with a score of 31-22.

The national team leads the standings of Group G of the World Championship with 4 points, after achieving two successive victories over Croatia and Morocco, to ensure that the Pharaohs qualify for the second round of the tournament, while the Moroccan national team bottoms the standings without points.

In the next round, the Egyptian national team will face its American counterpart, at 7:00 pm, the day after tomorrow, Tuesday.
